Sight Policy

Visual impairment can affect people in various ways, from difficulty reading small text to complete blindness. At Bentley Telecom, we recognise the challenges that come with visual impairment and are committed to making our services accessible to all.

Help & support we can provide

Free Directory Enquiries

If you are blind or partially sighted, or if using a telephone directory is challenging, you may find the 195 service helpful.

To register for this free service, simply complete an application form, which can be requested by calling 0800 587 0195. The form will require a few details and needs to be countersigned by someone who knows you, such as a doctor or other medical professional.

Once approved, you can use the service by dialling 195, where an operator will assist you by looking up the number you need. If you choose to have the operator connect you to that number, the call will be charged according to your Bentley Telecom call package.

Priority Fault Repair Service

If you rely on your broadband service and experience a fault, you may be eligible for our priority fault repair service.

We will prioritize your repair over standard service levels, although certain conditions, such as extreme weather, may cause unavoidable delays.

Once confirmed, you will receive priority repair services even if you haven’t registered in advance.

Communications in Alternative Formats

If you have difficulty reading your bills, contract details, or any other communications we send you, and you require an alternative format—such as large print, audio, Braille, or an adjusted electronic format—please let us know.

Our team will be happy to accommodate your needs. To inform us of your preferred format, please use the form below or visit our Contact page to choose the best way to reach us.

Third-Party Nominee

If you need help managing your account, you can nominate a trusted friend or relative to be listed on your account. They can manage all aspects of the account without taking on liability for the bill.

To set this up, please use the form below or visit our Contact page.
